Before Recording

  2. Swipe right to left → choose Standard Setting.

  3. Swipe up to adjust:

    • Resolution: 4K or 5.7K (Avoid higher to reduce processing complexity)

    • Interval: 0.5s

  5. Mount the Camera:

    • Use a helmet mount, selfie stick, or sturdy grip (e.g., thermal grip cover).

3️⃣ Step 3: Capture a Walk Using the Evercam Capture App (Beta)

Prerequisites

  • Download from Google Play or Apple Store.

  • Ensure Insta360 App is not running in the background.

  • Enable all permissions: Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Location.

⚠️ Note: Bluetooth is critical for auto-connecting and retrieving Wi-Fi credentials.

Please Note

  • WiFi, Bluetooth, and Location permissions are all mandatory for the app to scan and connect to cameras. If any of these permissions are declined, the app will not function properly.

  • All permissions requested by the app must be accepted for full functionality. There are no exceptions.

  • There is no need to manually connect to the camera’s Wi-Fi using the last 5 digits of the serial number as the password. The app will automatically retrieve the password via Bluetooth.

Bluetooth is essential for connecting to the camera because it enables the app to retrieve the Wi-Fi credentials. The camera automatically turns off its Wi-Fi every 5 to 10 minutes to conserve battery, but its Bluetooth, listed as "BLE" (Bluetooth Low Energy), remains active. This allows the app to detect the camera, obtain the Wi-Fi password, and establish a connection seamlessly. In short, Bluetooth plays a crucial role in the entire connection process and should not be disabled.

⚠️ Connection Troubleshooting

  • If permissions were declined:

    • Option 1: Go to settings and re-enable them.

    • Option 2: Uninstall and reinstall the app, accepting all permissions.

  • If the camera gets stuck at "Connecting" for more than 2 minutes, cancel and retry.

  • If it keeps failing, restart the camera.
