Troubleshooting your Camera

Is Your Camera Offline?

Follow these steps to check and fix common issues immediately

1. Check Power

🔌 Main Power (AC/Utility)

  • Ensure the camera is plugged into a working socket

  • Test with another device (e.g., phone charger)

  • Turn off the Evercam enclosure, wait 30 seconds, then turn it back on

  • Open the enclosure and check LED lights on the router and camera:

    • Solid lights = Power is stable

    • No lights = Check cables and adapters

☀️ Solar Power

  • Check the Charge Controller (MPPT)If no lights, the battery may be low.

  • Ensure the battery is charged and providing enough power

  • If router lights flicker, the system may not have enough power

2. Check Router

  • Normal operation: Router LEDs should be solid green

  • ⚠️ If LEDs are blinking alternately: The router isn’t getting a signal. If this is the case then proceed to “fix it”

Fix it:

  1. Unplug the router’s black power cable and wait 2–3 minutes

  2. Plug it back in and wait up to 15 minutes for a reboot

  3. Remove the SIM card, wipe it clean, and reinsert it

  4. Power cycle again (repeat steps 1–2)

🛠 If it still won’t connect: Contact Support (info below) to check the SIM card’s data plan.

3. Check Camera & LAN Devices

Check Device LEDs

  • Look for lights on the camera or inside kit/box (if you’re able to open it)

  • If no lights:

    • Try a different LAN port on the router📡

    • Check if PoE lights are on (if using Power over Ethernet)

    • Take clear photos of router LEDs and cable connections for Support
