PTZ Camera

PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) camera allows for wider coverage from any angle and higher zoom quality for any detail.

A PTZ camera will be reflected on the camera list with the letters PTZ as part of the camera name.

These cameras have separate controls found on the upper right side of the window when you're in Live View.

Features

  1. You can move the camera left, right, up, and down.

  2. You can choose Home to return to the initial view.

  3. You can zoom in or out.

  4. You can create Presets or saved views.

Users who have Read Only access cannot control the PTZ camera. The controls will be seen as disabled.

If you want a PTZ camera, we prefer live video over jpegs for a better UX.  We enable WebRTC (not HLS, as WebRTC has less latency).
