Gate Report: Fair Usage Policy

At Evercam, we’re committed to delivering accurate, reliable vehicle detection through our Gate Report system. To ensure the best possible performance across all sites and maintain service quality for everyone, we apply a Fair Usage Policy to how Gate Report is used.

What is considered Fair Usage?

Gate Report is designed to capture and process genuine vehicle entry and exit events at construction sites or controlled access points. This includes:

  • Clear visibility of vehicles approaching or leaving the gate

  • A well-positioned camera with a clean and unobstructed field of view

  • Use of the system in line with our System Requirements & Site Expectations.

Typical fair usage might result in a one hundred to one thousand valid events per day per gate, depending on site activity.

What Constitutes Excessive Duplicate Event Generation?

A site may be considered non-compliant with this policy if its configuration or site conditions consistently cause the Gate Report service to generate excessive duplicate events, including but not limited to:

  • Stationary vehicles within the configured Region of Interest (ROI) that are repeatedly detected as new events.

  • Permanent barriers, signs, or other fixed objects (including text, numbers, or reflective surfaces) within the ROI that are repeatedly detected as new events.

  • Duplicate event rates that significantly exceed normal operating patterns without corresponding site activity.

Examples of excessive duplicate event generation include:

  • More than 30% of generated events being identified as duplicate events.

Where excessive duplicate event generation persists, despite reasonable efforts to correct the underlying site configuration or conditions, Evercam reserves the right to suspend or restrict the Gate Report service until the issue has been resolved.

Why This Matters

Each detected event:

  • Is automatically reviewed by our quality assurance system

  • May trigger calls to third-party services and APIs that incur direct costs

  • Consumes system resources and may delay valid alerts

Unmanaged false events impact not only your site’s reporting quality but also the performance and availability of our platform.

What Happens if the Policy is Breached?

If we detect a consistent pattern of excessive or false-positive events:

  1. We will notify your project team (typically through your assigned Customer Success Manager)

  2. You’ll be asked to make on-site adjustments (e.g., remove signage, relocate parked vehicles, clean camera lenses, etc.)

  3. If unaddressed, we may temporarily suspend event processing on Gate Report

  4. Service can be resumed once conditions are corrected
