Forge Viewer Features
We are transitioning to use Autodesk Forge viewer for our BIM view.
BIM Sequencing (Timeline) is not available for BIMs using the Forge Viewer. If you wish to view a timeline within your BIM, we can host your model on iTwin.

Note: We implemented our Forge-based BIM viewer to stream (not download) large models using progressive loading. This approach initially loads only the necessary parts of the model, with other geometry parts loading dynamically as the user navigates.
Our Forge-based BIM viewer automatically caches critical model parts in the user's browser after the initial full model load. As long as you do not clear your browser cache, the viewer can quickly retrieve and display the cached model data in subsequent loads.
Tools 🛠️
Use the toolbar at the bottom of the viewer to explore the model.

For easier navigation, use the Navigation cube on the upper right-hand side of the viewer.

View the layers, elements and properties or change the viewer settings on the pop-ups by toggling their buttons on the lower toolbar.

You can still view the Live View of the cameras by clicking on the Camera markers.

Watch the video below to see a demo of the features. (Video has no sound.)
Uploading a Model from Autodesk Construction Cloud ☁️
To upload a BIM from Autodesk Construction Cloud, click the upload button on the toolbar if BIM View is already enabled, or click the Choose Model button on the info page if BIM View has not yet been enabled.
You need to be connected to your ACC account and connected to ACC through the Evercam Connectors page.

Upload button

A pop-up will appear wherein you need to choose the Autodesk Hub before you can choose the project from where you want to pull the model from.

Another pop-up will appear after clicking Send. Click Connect to Autodesk Viewer to enable the connection. 📩

You will be redirected to the Sign-in page of Autodesk. After signing-in, you will once again be redirected to the Evercam platform. 💻

Once you are connected, click on “Choose Model” again to select the BIM model from the project and then click “Send”.
Our 3D Services Team will receive the model and enable BIM View, if it has not yet been enabled. You will be notified via email once the BIM is ready for viewing on the platform.
If BIM view has already been enabled and you are just updating your model, you will be able to view the updated model after having clicked “Send”.
