Fishtank | Non-Penetrating Ground Mount

The Fishtank | Non-Penetrating Ground Mount is a specialised installation configuration designed for maximum stability on flat surfaces where drilling or ground penetration is not permitted or possible. It is an ideal solution for rooftops or finished concrete areas on construction sites.

Configuration Overview

  • Mounting Base: The system uses a "Fishtank" style base that relies on a ballast-weighted frame to remain upright.

  • Ballast Support: Stability is achieved by placing heavy concrete blocks—similar to the concrete slabs used in other portable configurations—directly into the base frame to counteract wind load.

  • Mast Structure: A vertical galvanised steel mast extends from the centre of the ballast frame, providing a secure elevated position for monitoring equipment.

Hardware Integration

  • Camera Placement: The mast is typically topped with a 4k+ Fixed-position camera featuring varifocal zoom and infrared capabilities.

  • Cable Management: CAT 5e network cables are managed along the exterior of the mast, delivering PoE 48V power and data from the main enclosure to the camera.

  • Rapid Deployment: This configuration is designed for quick assembly and can be easily relocated as project needs change, without leaving permanent marks or damage to the installation surface.

Ideal Use Cases

  • Rooftop Monitoring: High-vantage point surveillance without compromising the building's waterproof membrane.

  • Temporary Construction Zones: Situations where security is needed on finished pavements or sensitive ground surfaces.
