DroneDeploy

This guide walks you through how to integrate a DroneDeploy iframe into the Evercam platform. Once the integration is complete, clicking the Drone button within Evercam will open the selected DroneDeploy view directly inside the dashboard.

Step 1: Log into DroneDeploy 🖥️

  1. Go to dronedeploy.com and log in to your account.

  2. Navigate to your Projects page.

  3. Click on the Project you’d like to integrate into Evercam.

Step 2: Generate a Shareable iFrame Link đź”—

  1. Inside the project, click the Share icon at the top right of the screen.

2. In the sharing options, click “View Only”.

  3. Under “Link for [Date]”, click the button to copy the shareable link to your clipboard.

Your link will look something like this:

https://www.dronedeploy.com/app2/sites/xxxxxxxxxxxxxx/maps/xxxxxxxxxxxxxx?jwt_token=xxxxxxxx

If you’re using a DroneDeploy Enterprise account with a project-based package, you can share a single link that gives view-only access to the entire project, including media and flight history. Click "the “Link full project” button to copy embed the entire project.

Step 3: Send the Link to Evercam Support đź“©

Email the link to: support@evercam.io

Please include the Evercam Project Name you’d like the DroneDeploy iFrame to be linked with.

⚠️ Note: It may take a couple of business days for Support to process your request. You’re welcome to follow up if needed.

Restrictions or Limitations â›”

Note: Users can still log into their DroneDeploy account directly within the Evercam iframe to unlock full access to all features and tools. These limitations apply only when viewing as a guest through the view-only mode.

When using a view-only link in DroneDeploy (embedded inside Evercam), certain tools and features are restricted. These limitations include:

  • Measurement Tools: Point, distance, and area measurements are not available.

  • Annotations and Field Notes: Adding or editing annotations and field notes is disabled.

  • Map Comparison: The ability to compare maps over time is not accessible.

  • Asset Visibility: Some shared assets, such as panoramas, stills, and videos, may not appear through a standard view-only link.

  • Interior Views on Mobile Browsers: Accessing interior views is limited on mobile browsers. For full functionality, it’s recommended to use a desktop or laptop.
