Drone
Drone allows you to visualize a 3D reconstruction of your site from a drone mapping (photogrammetry).
Why use Drone? 🚁
Problem | What does the problem lead to? |
|---|---|
Working with the conventional methods of surveying takes time and can result in a lot of irregularities. | Lack of accuracy in surveying; a waste of time and money |
Fixed-position cameras offer a limited field of view to the customer and do not allow him to cover the whole construction site. | Lack of visibility |
Drones are up to five times faster at performing surveys than traditional methods. Drone allows the user to visualise drone imagery into a Drone model, offering a better visibility of the construction site at different stages to cross-check the current condition of the site vs the planning.
Benefits and Capabilities ➕
Benefit | Description |
|---|---|
Site immersion | Visualise a detailed representation of the construction site and the surrounding area. |
Micro-view | Assess the state of a construction site down to the finest details. |
Reality capture | Cross-check the current condition of the site versus the planning or compare with the as-designed BIM. |
Data at your fingertips | All Evercam users can access and interact with the Drone model. |
Seamless view switching | Easily switch between the Drone model, the 360 walkthrough, and the camera view. |
Remote oversight | Perform safer and quicker inspections. Measure distances, areas, and volume remotely. |
Document, collaborate, and track | Document important visual data on the site conditions, collaborate, and share with other stakeholders to track progress. |
Use Cases 💼
🏗️ Crane Installation Prep: Project Manager used drone-assisted site visualization to identify site areas for cleaning and compaction, followed by remote verification of task completion.
🪨 Stockpile Relocation: Customer used Drone for a quick assessment of existing and potential material pile storage areas.
⛔ Temporary No Parking Zone: Customer used Drone for a clear and immediate dissemination of parking restrictions to site personnel.
📶 Connectivity Estimation: Customer used the Measuring Tool in Drone to do a preliminary assessment of fiber optic connection from the high-way to the site.
📏 Infrastructure Measurement: Customer used the Measuring Tool in Drone to measure the required water pipe length to connect to some cabins and an area to install machinery.
📐 Remote Verification of Materials: Customer used Drone to measure the amount of materials ordered and used.
