BIM Compare
A tool used to compare how the project looks as designed vs. as-built by showing an image of the BIM Model overlaid on top of the camera live view.

Overview
What is BIM (Building Information Modelling)?
BIM is more than a 3D Model: It's about the building’s information across the entire lifecycle.
It contains information about construction elements, measurements, materials, suppliers, and most importantly, the construction schedule.
For the BIM Compare feature to be enabled, you have to give us a copy of the BIM Model which we will use to align with the camera live view. Once the model has been aligned, we will notify you that the feature has been enabled.
For our team to be able to create a BIM Compare, the Camera must have LDC (Lens Distortion Correction) enabled by our Support team. This means we remove the fisheye effect of the camera to make it straight. This will affect the camera's Field of View (FOV) and must be considered before approving the final FOV.
If the camera moves from its original position, the BIM Model will no longer be correctly aligned. We will re-align it when we are notified of the misalignment.
A realignment due to the movement of a camera from one location to another by the camera owner will incur an additional charge. We have included 1 realignment per month as part of the original cost. Any additional realignment will incur additional costs.
BIM Compare cannot be done on a 180-degree camera FOV, a PTZ camera or on a Gate Report camera.
How to Use
Click on the BIM Compare tab at the top of the dashboard.
If you want to view a specific date, select the Camera View on the side panel and use the calendar to choose the date and time. 📅
Then you can use the BIM calendar to choose the date of the 4D model (Model with a Time element) to match the Camera View date.
Alternatively, you can use the timeline at the bottom of the screen to view specific BIM Model milestone dates.
These milestones can be hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly. The BIM calendar will show dates without milestones as light gray or disabled. Days or hours with milestones will be shown in bold text together with a blue dot.
You can also use the First and Last buttons to navigate to the ends of the project schedule.

To compare the BIM Model with the construction progress, click and drag the slider to the left or right. ↔️

If you want to view a specific model layer, you can select the layer (Architectural/ Structural/ MEP/ 4D) in the side panel.
Note: Available layers are dependent on the BIM model given.
If you would like to see the live view behind the BIM Model, you can use the Transparency tool on the side panel.

If you would like to download or share the image, you can export the current view as a GIF. The saved image can be found in the Media Hub.
