A. Integration Compatibility & Admin Activation

1. Which Autodesk products are supported by the Evercam integration?

   The integration works across Autodesk Forma Build (Autodesk Build), Forma Data Management, and BIM 360. Because these platforms share the same underlying data management storage, content uploaded via Evercam is accessible across all of them.

   
   

2. Who needs to activate the Evercam app in Autodesk?

   An Account Admin must activate Evercam in the Autodesk Apps section. Project Admins or standard users cannot activate account-level apps and must ask their Account Admin to do so.

   
   

3. Where does an Account Admin go to activate the app?

   Depending on your platform and region, navigate to the Apps section under Account Admin:

Search for Evercam in the App Gallery and click Activate. (Tip: It is recommended to activate both ACC and BIM 360 if your company uses both platforms.)

B. Individual User Setup & Connections

4. Does every team member need to connect their own Autodesk account?

   Yes. Each user must connect and authorize their individual Autodesk account in Evercam.

   
   

5. How do I connect my Autodesk account in Evercam?

   • In Evercam, go to Settings > Connectors (or Integrations).

   • Locate the Autodesk card and click Connect.

   • Sign in using your Autodesk credentials.

   • When prompted, click Allow to authorize Evercam to read, write, and manage project data.

C. Media Sharing & Folders

6. Where do my photos go in Autodesk?

   Photos are delivered to the specific project folder you designate within Autodesk Document Management. When configuring a photo send or Progress Photo, you can browse and expand your Autodesk project folder tree to pick the target location.

   
   

7. Can I send older or marked-up images, not just live captures?

   Yes. You can use the Evercam Mark-up Tool on any historical recording or moment and send the marked-up image directly to your selected Autodesk project folder.

   
   

8. Can I schedule automated Progress Photos to Autodesk?

   Yes. Once connected, you can set up scheduled Progress Photos in Evercam that automatically deliver images into your chosen Autodesk project folder regularly.

D. Permissions & Troubleshooting

9. I’ve connected Autodesk, but I can't upload photos to a project folder. What permissions do I need?

   You need at least Create permissions (View + Download + Publish markups + Upload) on the target folder in Autodesk Document Management. If your permission is set only to View, uploads will fail.

   
   

10. How can an Account or Project Admin grant me folder access in Autodesk?

    • In Autodesk, navigate to Project Home > Document Management.

    • Expand Project Files and locate the folder intended for Evercam photos.

    • Click the three dots (⋮) next to the folder and select Permission settings.

    • Click + Add, enter the user’s name or email, and set their permission level to Create (or higher).

      
      

11. Why are some camera snapshots or scheduled photos failing to transfer?

• Camera naming check: Camera names containing a colon (:) are incompatible with certain Autodesk file-naming structures and can cause upload errors. Rename the camera in Evercam without special characters.

• Expired authorisation: If tokens expire, return to Settings > Connectors in Evercam, disconnect Autodesk, and reconnect.

• App activation: Verify that the Evercam app is still marked as Active under the Autodesk Account Admin Apps section.
