Progress Photos

  • Users can now send Progress Photos for cameras that are Offline, On Hold and/or Under Maintenance (previously unavailable). The status can be seen alongside the camera name when selecting the camera. For these cameras, users will receive an email that says “Could not retrieve snapshot from (camera name)”. This is not a bug. It is not possible to retrieve a snapshot as the camera is not online.

Edit Tool

We've made some changes to the file naming of screenshots using the Edit Tool for BIM, Drone and 360:

For 360 edit tool, it now it shows 360 + floor name + date of the walkthrough
For Drone Edit tool, it shows Drone + project name + date of the flight
For BIM edit tool, it shows BIM + project name + name of the model

The same title applies when you download the JPEG.

Media Hub

  1. Media Hub revamp is now completed and deployed. The UI will not change. The change that was done is in the logic of sharing and visibility (access management).

    1. Any new media created from a camera will only be accessible to camera-shared members (people with access to certain cameras). If you go to Media hub and have NO access to a certain camera, you won’t see the media related to that camera.

    2. Any new media from a project-based product (GR/ BIM/Drone/360) will be shared to and can be viewed by all members of the project.

    3. Any new media in the Media Hub will be stored in a project-based way in S3, meaning we can treat the Media Hub as a storage system (i.e. for drone videos, GR reports). We can now have backups to all assets generated by the users.

  2. Added status of uploading or pending media files

Platform

  1. The integrations tab in Settings has been renamed to Connectors.

We are categorizing the types of integrations we provide to avoid confusion. We’ve renamed the Integrations tab into Connectors as these show pre-built connections to other Software making data transfer easier.

Other types of Integrations we have are API Integrations and iFrame Embeds (Embedding Evercam into another software or vice-versa).

  1. Voyage Control connector has been released. Details of how it works are available in here.

  2. A Cameras table was added to the Company page. This is available for Company Admin users.

  3. We’ve made the Progress Photos pop-up window persistent within the screen so that it won’t close when a user accidentally clicks outside the window.

Drone

When choosing a set of drone images to upload, the Ingest platform will scan them and show the flight route in Google Maps. Clicking on any point will show a small thumbnail of the image. This will help users check what they upload to our platform.

360

A minimap system has been added for internal 360 walks. Users can now view the path of the walk alongside the 360 view. We can also overlay floor plans so users can see where the walk was done within a structure.

Mobile App

A new version with the Company SSO has been released in the Apple Store.

April

BIM

Self-upload is now available. Users can directly upload models into our server within BIM View or BIM Compare.

Dashboard

New

  1. Recordings can now be delayed by a custom number of minutes/ hours/ days by enabling the Restrict recent images feature. This feature can be found under the Recordings widget. It is useful for sharing the Recordings on a website page where you would like to delay the feed that can be seen by the public.

  1. Archives is now Media Hub.

We removed Camera archives and centralized them into a Project repository which we are now calling Media Hub - the place that stores all your important clips, time-lapses, gifs, Xrays, etc.

Recordings

Improvement

  1. The Brain Tool button in the Recordings tab has been replaced with the Magic Wand icon. This tool will hold several AI-related tools, which include the following:

  • Evercam Model (our counting tool for vehicles and persons) - currently available for all users

    Not yet available to users:

  • Ask ChatGPT (Health & Safety PoV inspection of the scene)

  • Segmentation (process of dividing an image into parts/classes)

  • Depth Analysis (analyzing an image to see the various depths of the elements)

  1. For projects with Edge video, the tab has been combined with the Recordings tab. From here you can switch between viewing JPEGs or the video stream.

Drone

New

  1. We now support Point Cloud Models in Drone View.

A point cloud is usually easier to stream, render, and interact with. Since we won't be using Lidar cameras to make them, the high-level accuracy that Point Clouds are known for, will not be always guaranteed. This means their measuring operations like volume will still be linked to the 2D Digital Elevation Model (a 3D representation of a terrain's surface created from terrain elevation data), and will give similar results to Mesh-based models.

Note: We only support LAS format for Point Clouds.

  1. Our Inspection Tool is now available.

When the Inspection Tool is enabled, you can click on any point and then the Viewer will generate the four (4) closest images related to that point. You can click on any image in the right-side panel to further inspect it and even Edit it.
