07 Troubleshooting Your Camera
Is your camera offline?
Follow these checks in order. Do not open or alter equipment unless it is safe and you are authorised to do so.
1. Check power
Mains / utility power
Confirm the camera kit is connected to a working socket; test the socket with another device.
Turn the Evercam enclosure off, wait 30 seconds, then turn it on.
Check the router and camera LEDs. No lights generally indicate a power, cable or adapter problem.
Solar power
Check the MPPT charge controller. No lights may indicate a low battery.
Confirm the battery is charged and supplying sufficient power.
Flickering router lights can indicate insufficient power.
2. Check the router
Normal operation is indicated by stable green LEDs. Alternating blinking can indicate that the router is not receiving a mobile signal.
Disconnect the router’s black power cable and wait 2–3 minutes.
Reconnect it and allow up to 15 minutes to reboot.
If needed, remove the SIM, wipe it carefully and reinsert it, then power-cycle again.
If it still does not connect, contact Support so the SIM and data plan can be checked.
3. Check the camera and LAN devices
Look for camera, PoE and enclosure-device LEDs.
If there are no LAN lights, try another router LAN port.
Confirm the PoE indicator is on when PoE is used.
Take clear photos of router LEDs, LAN connections and the charge controller for Support.
